What Is Reiki and My Inspiration to Attune to it.

Reiki’s origins span from Japan.  Translated from Japanese it means Universal Life Energy.  

When the word is broken down into its components, you have Rei and Ki. 

The definition for Rei – is Universal, transcendental spirit, mysterious power, essence, unconditional love.

The definition for Ki – is described as the vital life force energy, very similar to the Chi of Chinese acupuncture or the light to Christians. 

Therefore we have Reiki – Universal Life Energy.

It is the exchange of this energy, this unconditional love that is the core of what Reiki is. It can penetrate anything, from thin layers of clothes to lead, wood and steal; it comes from the Source so it is infinite. Since it is in the Universal Life Force, like a wave it benefits everything that has life, from plants and animals to humans, even the food you eat and the water you drink.

A person who has been through the process of Reiki Attunement’s (i.e. a Reiki Practitioner or Master) has experienced a very ancient process of fine-tuning the physical and etheric bodies to a higher vibrational level. In addition, the energy centres, known as the Chakras, are opened to enable the person to channel higher amounts of this Universal Life Energy.

The Usui system of Reiki I have been attuned to is in no way associated with any sect, cult or religion.  It is an act of natural healing which uses Reiki to empower you to bring about improvements and healing to your body, mind and spirit.

Reiki can never do damage in any way since it only flows from unconditional love and in the quantities necessary for the recipient.  When treating someone with Reiki, they are brought back to a state of unity and harmony with their mind, body and spirit. This state encourages their natural ability to continue to heal themselves.

The gift of Reiki is the feeling of being reconnected to your source, a feeling of “coming home”. It gives you a sense of wholeness, where it is easy to love yourself, and in doing so you will discover how easy loving the world around you is. This is why I felt an upmost calling to learn Reiki.

The months after my Level One attunement I spent mostly working on myself and was amazed at how effective it was at re-aligning my mood and energy.  I could feel The Life Force Energy pulse through me, relax and align me. 

I decided to become Reiki Level Two attuned as I felt a strong calling to work with distance.  It feels amazing for me to work with others and see them experience The Universal Life Energy, even when I’m sitting in Australia and my client is in the USA or another state. Sometimes it is dramatic, sometimes subtle.

I remember the first time I personally had ever experienced Reiki in the late 90’s and I felt nothing and wondered what I had just spent my money on?  This can be a concern to the person who has never experienced Reiki before or understands what it is.  That’s okay, because that is how I was first time.

Then years later, I tried Reiki again and I was blown away as it took me to a very peaceful place where all I felt was love, calm and balance.

Since Level Two attunement, I noticed a shift in the power of The Universal Life Energy within me, where I would actually physically feel the realignment of the body.  When I would work on myself, and also on others. 

Sometimes (majority of the time) I also am guided to ask questions or I see Animals or colours, I will go to my oracle cards for a message.  Typically, the message will relate to some aspect of what is going on for the person at the time.  It’s just how The Universal Life Energy speaks to me.

Other times a Reiki session with me is silent.  I am guided to what is needed. Pulsing, warmth and energy will be experienced and a sense of peace.

I would say that peaceful, relaxed, safe, calm realignment and balance is the potential experience from a Reiki session with Inspired Robyn.  Be it via distance or in person.
